Title: Best Friends can be Real Bastards
Author:

apprendista</a></span></a></span>
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-16 for language and a (very tame) shower scene
Summary: There are times when John wonders if having a best friend is actually worth all the heckling....
Disclaimer: (n) 1. A repudiation or denial of responsibility or connection. 2. (Law) A renunciation of one's right or claim.  Translation:  Not mine, never will be, I just enjoy playing in Kripke's world.

See, here's the thing.  I really like John Winchester.  I think he's a fascinating guy, and given the chance to have a normal life with his wife and sons, I think he's the type of guy who would've had coffee mugs from his family that said things like "World's Greatest Dad" on them.  But my favorite disclaimer about John I've ever read came from one of Ridley C. James' stories, "Toy Soldiers," and it said, "I love him, but he is portrayed in all his raging glory in this tale."  My later fics, after Mary's death, will have that version of John.  The pre-series fics will have the more carefree version.

This takes place later in the same evening as "The Upshot of Dark and Stormy Nights".

Title: Observations of the Native Texan:  Transcript
Author: </a></b></a>apprendista
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13 for some language
Summary: The transcript of "Observations of the Native Texan in an Unnatural Habitat"
Disclaimer: (n) 1. A repudiation or denial of responsibility or connection. 2. (Law) A renunciation of one's right or claim.  Translation:  Not mine, never will be, I just enjoy playing in the pretty boys' world.
Notes: READ THIS ONE SECOND!  It's the transcript of the clip mentioned in my previous post, and does reference one or two things from it.  It'll make a little more sense (other than the fact that it's Rosenbaum-esque crackfic) if you read them in that order.

Title: Observations of the Native Texan
Author: </a></a>apprendista</b></a>
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13 for some language
Summary: The "Smallville" boys vs. the "Supernatural" boys, only Rosenbaum and Welling have Eric Kripke and Kim Manners on their side....
Disclaimer: (n) 1. A repudiation or denial of responsibility or connection. 2. (Law) A renunciation of one's right or claim.  Translation:  Not mine, never will be, I just enjoy playing in the pretty boys' world.
Notes: This is yet another new experience for me....  RPF.  But the rabid plot bunny attacked me like the killer bunny in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and it wouldn't let go (my plot bunnies are frequently like this...).  So, we have basically J2-RPS, which was written/filmed by Rosenbaum and Welling.  It's probably best to read this post BEFORE the next one, which is the transcript of Welling-baum's mockumentary.  Enjoy!

P.S.  I'm fairly nervous about posting this, but my friend Carolyn threatened me if I didn't, so here you go ;-)

Title: The Upshot of Dark and Stormy Nights
Author: apprendista
Fandom: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13 for some language
Summary: A young woman has an...interesting encounter with a stranger when she gets a flat in the middle of a Kansas storm close to midnight on a deserted back road.
Disclaimer: (n) 1. A repudiation or denial of responsibility or connection. 2. (Law) A renunciation of one's right or claim.  Translation:  Not mine, never will be, I just enjoy playing in Kripke's world.
Notes: I love longer fics, and I enjoy the opportunity to sit and savor through multi-chapter masterpieces.  However, I find writing them myself to be incredibly intimidating, so I kind of work around it by writing series of one-shots.  This is my first.
